The Flamenco Residential Weekends are immersive experiences designed for both experienced dancers and those new to flamenco. For anyone who would like to improve/ begin their technique, learn exciting choreography, and delve into the cultural depth of flamenco, all within a friendly, supportive and inspiring environment. Whether you are an experienced dancer or just starting, these weekends are carefully crafted to meet the needs of every participant.
The weekends include focused sessions on bodywork, footwork, turns, and choreography. You’ll also explore the history and essence of the flamenco style being taught, known as a palo, enhancing your connection to the dance. Each class is accompanied by a live flamenco guitarist and singer, ensuring you experience the vibrant energy and passion of flamenco in its authentic form.
Held three to four times a year, the weekends take place in beautiful rural venues. In the winter and spring, we use a stunning venue in North Devon. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, set amidst wooded grounds with breathtaking views. It offers excellent facilities, including underfloor heating, endless hot water, and ample light-filled spaces for dancing. In warmer months the event is held in an equally stunning rural location, with camping & glamping options.
In addition to the flamenco classes, the weekends offer optional morning Qi Gong and yoga sessions, both included in the course price. These help prepare your body and mind for the day ahead, and stretch out after. Participants are also treated to delicious, fully catered homemade meals, with an endless supply of tea, coffee, herbal teas, and mouthwatering cakes. All choreography learned during the weekend is supported by video recordings, allowing you to continue practicing at home.
The event fosters a warm and welcoming community spirit. From the Friday evening gathering with shared food and music to the Saturday night party featuring live music, dancing, and a fun fancy dress option, every aspect of the weekend is designed to create joy and connection. There’s even a charity clothes swap on Friday evening and the option to extend your stay through Sunday night at no extra charge.
Winter/Spring: The venue is easily accessible, with the nearest bus and train station located in a few minutes away in Okehampton. Summer/Autumn: Nearest stations Creditoion & Exeter. Ample on site parking at both venues.
Lifts from station to venues can be arranged. Lift shares from various parts of the UK are also often organized via a dedicated WhatsApp group set up for attendees.

For those attending in the warmer months, we occasionally organize wild swimming trips. On-site massage therapists are available at each weekend for an additional charge; these can be booked in advance or during the event.
We often incorporate a team based mini charity fundraiser….lots of fun and great ‘ice-breakers’ for anyone new.
